Community Events

CARD Community Events are free and open to the public, fostering inclusivity and shared experiences within the Chico community. Events include Spring Jamboree, Kite Day, K-9 Classic, and more!

CARD Special Events present an exciting array of entertaining and ticketed experiences, featuring highlights like our annual Fall Gala, The Great Pumpkin Splash, and the ever-popular Brunch with Santa.

K-9 Classic

Bring your furry four-legged friends to our 3rd Annual K-9 Classic! Enter your pup into the Mutt Strut and show off their skills. Pets (and their humans) are encouraged to wear costumes. Stay for the food, games, K-9 demonstrations, and much more!

Join us for Movies at the Pool this summer! Snacks, drinks, popcorn, and ice cream will be available for purchase. Grab your lounge chairs, floaties, and other pool accessories, and get ready to enjoy the show from the water! Pool opens at 7, movie starts at sundown.

Let Freedom Ring!

Celebrate America with a SPLASH at our newly upgraded Chapman Park! Cool off in the new splash pad, listen to live music by the Chico Community Band and local musicians Emma & Will, and enjoy free traditional 4th of July foods like hotdogs and ice cream. Dress to get wet and enjoy the new park amenities!
