CARD Aquatics Season Begins June 8th

Chico, CA – Get ready to dive into summer fun as Chico Area Recreation & Park District’s (CARD) Aquatics Season officially kicks off on June 8th! Join us at the Pleasant Valley Pool, located at 2320 North Ave in Chico, for an exciting opening night featuring “Movies at the Pool.” On Saturday, June 8th, from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM, enjoy a special showing of the Barbie movie for just $3 per entry. And here’s a splash of fun – anyone wearing pink gets in for free!

“We are thrilled to start another fantastic aquatics season,” said Andrés Corrales, Recreation Supervisor at CARD. “Our team has been working hard to ensure a safe, fun, and memorable experience for everyone in the community. We can’t wait to see you at the pools!”

Starting June 10th, Pleasant Valley Pool will operate on the following schedule:

  • Rec Swim: 1:00 PM – 3:45 PM (Monday-Saturday)
  • Family Swim: 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM (Monday-Thursday)
  • Lap Swim: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM (Monday-Friday)
  • Friday Teen Swims: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM (June 14th, June 28th, July 12th, July 26th, August 9th)

Season Pool Passes are available for purchase on-site at Pleasant Valley Pool. CARD also offers swimming lessons at the Pleasant Valley Pool. For more information and to register, please visit www.chicorec.gov/aquatics.
