Chico Peppers Field at Hooker Oak Park celebrates the storied history of the Chico Peppers, a groundbreaking women’s fastpitch softball team that competed from 1962 through the 1990s. Known for their skill, dedication, and championship success, the Peppers played across the country and internationally, leaving a lasting legacy in the world of women’s sports. This field honors their contributions to Chico’s athletic community and the generations of players they inspired.
