Doryland Field

Named in honor of Ronald Bruce Doryland (1946–1966), the Doryland Field in Hooker Oak Park celebrates the passion and dedication of a young athlete gone too soon. A Chico High School student and Little League pitcher and outfielder, Ronnie was an avid baseball fan, especially devoted to the New York Yankees. He also served as President of the YMCA Gym, demonstrating his love for sports and community. Though his life was cut short by cancer at just 20 years old, his legacy lives on through this field, inspiring future generations of athletes.
