Time is running out to be part of one of Chico’s most exciting community traditions! The 2nd Annual 4th of July Parade is just around the corner, and the final day to sign up to participate is Friday, June 20. CARD is calling on businesses, organizations, and individuals of all kinds to come together and show off what makes Chico such a vibrant and diverse place to live.

“Whether you’re a local business looking for exposure or a community group wanting to come and have a great time, the parade is the perfect stage,” said Lindsey Barrett, Public Outreach Specialist for CARD. “This is an incredible opportunity to showcase your community spirit in front of thousands. Last year’s event brought in an estimated 8,000 attendees—our biggest turnout in CARD history!”

"Planning this year’s parade has been a blast," said Vanessa Ortiz, Assistant Public Outreach Specialist and head of the CARD Float Committee. "We’ve been coming up with fun ways to bring even more excitement, color, and community spirit to Downtown Chico. We can’t wait to see what everyone brings to the parade route!"

Everyone is welcome to join—march, ride, dance, or roll your way down Downtown Chico in front of a sea of red, white, and blue. Let’s make this year’s parade even bigger, brighter, and more spirited than ever before.

Want to help behind the scenes? We’re also looking for passionate volunteers to support this incredible event! Volunteers will receive a one-of-a-kind parade t-shirt, custom tie-dyed by our summer campers, along with fun CARD swag and the opportunity to be part of something truly special. Sign up to volunteer at www.chicorec.gov/parade-volunteer.

Don’t miss your chance to be part of Chico history—sign up by June 20!
