This class is a fun, hands-on acrylic painting class where creativity meets the fundamentals. Each session explores core painting skills like color mixing, composition, brushwork, shading, and texture through guided practice and experimentation.

ART SAVES LIVES. And art can make you a living! Pedal Press founders Cathryn (social worker) and Julia (art teacher) have held youth-led spaces for young people to be creative for ten years now with Pedal Press, an art- and community-making, youth-focused organization. You don't need to already have an artmaking practice; just be curious and ready to experiment, and we'll give you the support you need to find your creative flow. We'll explore various types of art and printmaking on both fabric and paper, with a focus on creating work to sell at a semester's-end pop-up market. We'll support you in going from IDEA to ART to MARKET, with YOU making the choices from start to finish. Market participation is optional, but recommended.
