Grab your blankets, lawn chairs, and loved ones for a fun night under the stars at Movies in the Park! On Friday, September 12, the Chico Area Recreation & Park District (CARD) invites the community to Veterans Memorial Park for a free, family-friendly screening of Disney Pixar’s Inside Out 2.

The fun begins at 6:00 PM with free games, crafts, face painting, and a scavenger hunt led by community partners. Local food trucks will be on-site with food and drinks for purchase, and guests can enjoy free movie theater-style popcorn before the movie starts. The film will begin at dusk (around 8:00 PM).

“This event is such a great way for the entire community to come together and share an evening together,” said Vanessa Ortiz, Assistant Public Outreach Specialist for CARD. “It’s completely free and open to everyone, and we love seeing the park filled with friends and families.”

Movies in the Park is proudly supported by CARD’s generous sponsors, including Platinum Sponsor Race Communications. To learn more about sponsorship opportunities, visit chicorec.gov/sponsor.
