Let’s chill out and explore! Little scientists will discover the magic of winter through hands-on STEAM activities featuring ice experiments, frosty creations, and fluffy fake snow.

Discover the wild side of learning at the Chico Creek Nature Center’s Voices of Nature Series — a monthly adventure at the Living Animal Museum where curiosity comes alive! Each session spotlights a fascinating theme — from turtles and tortoises to birds, salamanders, snakes, frogs, endangered species, and field research — brought to life by passionate guest speakers and our Animal Care Naturalists.

At Stellar Start PLAYschool, we champion learning through play and hands-on activities to teach students academic, social-emotional, and classroom readiness skills. Throughout the year, academic topics introduced include letters, numbers, shapes, and colors – but this is just the beginning.

Nature Tots runs year round and is a special time for families with children ages 1–5 to gather and enjoy an hour of fun, engaging activities with our instructor. Join us on Saturdays for an animal visit, storytime, singing and dancing, an art project, and a nature walk through our beautiful park.

Nature School is a first learning experience for kids ages 3-5, who are potty trained and ready for an experience away from their family. This program has zero screen time and is predominantly held outdoors. All units include play-based learning, healthy body movement like yoga and dancing, themed stories, songs, art projects, sensory exploration and sign language. We PLAY, we teach KINDNESS, and we truly nurture a love of NATURE!
