Celebrate Independence Day in Style: CARD’s 4th of July Celebration

Chico Area Recreation and Park District (CARD) is all set to host an exciting 4th of July Celebration on July 1st, 2023, from 11 AM–2 PM at 20th Street Community Park near the playground and sand volleyball courts. The event is open to the public and promises to be a fun-filled day of live patriotic music, free treats, and exciting activities for the whole family.

The Chico Community Band will perform a repertoire of classic American music from 11:30 AM–12:30 PM. Attendees will enjoy free hot dogs served from 11 AM-1:30 PM by the Chico Firefighters Local 2734 along with free Shubert’s ice cream, providing attendees with a delicious and traditional 4th of July meal. The food is sure to satisfy everyone's taste buds and make for a memorable experience.

For the kids, the event will feature water games, bounce houses, crafts, and face painting stations, providing them with hours of free entertainment and fun suitable for all ages.

This event is a fantastic opportunity for the Chico community to come together and celebrate the Independence Day spirit.
