Get ready for a night of oceanic elegance and enchantment at Midnight Tides: A Night Beneath the Waves, a spectacular gala fundraiser hosted by the Chico Area Recreation & Park District (CARD). Set for Friday, September 26th at 6 PM at the beautiful Lakeside Pavilion, this evening celebrates community spirit and raises funds for the future Aquatics & Recreation Center, slated to break ground on Thursday, August 21st.

Guests will find a shimmering underwater dreamscape featuring gourmet coastal-inspired cuisine, handcrafted ocean-themed cocktails, a lively performance by favorite local band Decades, a spirited live dessert auction, and stunning entertainment throughout the evening.

“This gala is one of the highlights of our year,” said Annabel Grimm, CARD’s General Manager. “We have so much fun creating a night that’s full of wonder and connection, and even more fun knowing it supports something truly transformative for our community. The future Aquatics & Recreation Center will bring new opportunities for recreation, health, and togetherness for generations to come.”

Individual tickets are now available, including:

• $150 Single Ticket – Includes dinner and cash bar access (drink tickets sold separately)
• $200 VIP Ticket – Includes dinner and open bar access

Table sponsorships offer businesses and individuals a unique way to support the center’s development while enjoying reserved seating, open bar access, and elegant perks like custom watercolor portraits by local artist Megan McArthur of Miss Megan Studios. Sponsorship tiers include:

• DeGarmo Park Table – $5,000: Table for up to 8, custom portrait, open bar, on-stage and media recognition
• Hooker Oak Table – $2,500: Table for up to 8, custom portrait, open bar
• Sycamore Table – $1,000: Table for up to 4, custom portrait, open bar
