The purpose of the Employee Referral & Self-Referral Programs are to provide an incentive award to a current employee who refers themselves or other employees to CARD who are selected and successfully employed in a designated aquatic position (Lifeguard, Asst. Head Lifeguard and Head lifeguard).
Employee Referral
Who can be referred?
- External candidates that are not currently employed by CARD
- Fellow CARD employee who you know has the experience and desire to work in aquatics.
- Former aquatic staff, who did not work the 2023 and/or 2024 season.
How do I refer someone?
The process of referring an applicant is simple. The applicant is required to indicate that you referred them on their on-line application in the questionnaire and will enter the referrer’s full name. After the application is submitted the CARD employee who referred the applicant will be asked to complete the Employee Referral Form and submit to HR. Both the CARD employee submission form and the candidate naming you as the referrer on their on-line application must happen to qualify for the bonus.
What is the incentive and how will it be paid to me?
A successful referral for all positions except Swim Instructor will result in a $250 bonus to the CARD employee who made the referral. The first $125 will be paid to you on your paycheck once the person referred has successfully completed the first 6 weeks of employment. If your referral works to the conclusion of the aquatic season, the other $125 will be paid out to you on the next corresponding pay cycle. Please note these bonuses are subject to taxation.
Self-Referral
Who can be referred?
A current CARD employee can self-refer if they did not work the 2023 and/or 2024 aquatics season(s).
How do I refer myself?
The process of referring yourself is simple. First, you must complete an application in Kronos for the position(s) you are interested in. To access these internal job postings you will go to your “My Info” tab, scroll down and select “My Career” and then select “Search for Jobs”. Lastly, HR will send you the Lifeguard Incentive Self-Referral Form via a DocuSign link within 2 weeks of your application date.
What is the incentive and how will it be paid to me?
A successful self-referral for all positions will result in a $500 bonus to you. The first $250 will be paid to you once you have completed CARD’s Lifeguard certification training. If you work through the completion of the aquatic season, the other $250 will be paid out to you on the next corresponding pay cycle. Please note these bonuses are subject to taxation.
