During our week together, we will do a variety of classic camp crafts. We will make beaded animal keychains, beaded bracelets, and learn to use basic bead looms. Students will also weave small bags, make woven mandalas, and tie-dye bandanas. There will be lots of variety and explorations of different materials in this camp.

Get out in nature and unleash your creativity this summer! This hands-on camp is perfect for young LEGO enthusiasts who love to build, imagine, and explore. We will be taking daily walks to Bidwell Park to build forts and play along the creek before we return to build with Legos. Kids will participate in nature and lego building challenges and competitions as well as lego themed craft projects. Hiking/water friendly clothing and footwear required!

Introduce your child to the great outdoors at Chi-Da-Ca, CARD’s longest running camp! Kids can’t help but have fun, get dirty and come home worn out from all the activity that takes place in Hooker Oak Park by upper Bidwell Park. The week is spent singing camp songs, going on nature hikes, playing games and cooling off with water activities.

This program provides outdoor exploration, builds friendships, and promotes a love for nature! Campers enjoy hands-on natural science labs, up-close animal visits, nature walks, arts and crafts, building tree forts, cooling off with water activities, and camp BBQ’s every Friday!

Travel the globe at Art Around the World Camp! Artists ages 5–12 explore cultures and traditions through drawing, painting, sculpture, and crafts inspired by global art styles. Campers build creativity, cultural curiosity, and confidence while creating vibrant projects from continents near and far. Bring a snack and water bottle daily. All supplies provided and included in cost.

The ministry of magic is pleased to offer this camp for aspiring wizards. Young wizards will take classes in the following studies: Potions, Care of Magical Creatures, History of Hogwarts and Defense Against the Dark Arts. Extracurricular activities will include quidditch.

Crafty kiddos, who love stuffies and imaginary play, will have a blast at this 4-day art camp. Students can bring their small stuffies to camp and create fun stuffie accessories like cute cardboard houses, beds, collars, outfits, etc. Students will enjoy the workshop style learning environment where they can select the materials they want to bring their ideas to life.

Step into the spotlight at Junior Cosmetology Camp, where creativity, confidence, and self-expression shine! Campers will dive into the exciting world of beauty while learning that true beauty starts from within. Each student will work hands-on with their own mannequin head and wig to design a head-turning look—cutting, coloring, and styling it to perfection and taking it home as their masterpiece. Campers will also explore makeup application and nail techniques, gaining real skills in a fun, supportive environment. Taught in an uplifting, affirmation-filled setting, this camp encourages students to embrace who they are while adding their own unique flair. The experience wraps up with a fabulous fashion show, where campers strut their stuff and proudly showcase the looks they created themselves!

Little Ninjas wrestling will include mat games, tumbling, basic wrestling instruction and live wrestling. Focus will be on fun while teaching the basic skills in the sport of wrestling.

Then, they’ll return to a working artist’s studio to learn professional art techniques and create keepsake worthy arts and crafts. Art projects are thoughtfully designed to evolve with each session, so artwork will vary depending on the week your child attends. This allows returning campers to enjoy a fresh creative experience every time!

Ninjas in Training will build on the fundamentals while introducing more challenging skills and techniques. Athletes will work on improving balance, strength, coordination, and confidence on the mat, all in a positive and encouraging environment. While fun remains a top priority, participants will be challenged to develop greater discipline. The program will be held in the CHS mat room. The program will be at the CHS mat room.

The petite bakery camp is a fun-filled delicious adventure! The bakers will start off with naming their bakery, designing the look, and choosing their themed treats. During the week, bakers will learn how to bake and decorate cupcakes, cookies, cake pops, and brownies!

Tie-Dye Camp offers the ultimate summer fun experience! Campers will begin by exploring color theory and experimenting with color mixing techniques of their choice. Next, they’ll dive into various folding and tying techniques, manipulating different materials through wet dyeing, dry dyeing, and ice dyeing methods. Each day, campers will create their own colorful masterpieces, which they’ll get to take home and share with friends and family.

Get ready for game-based fitness fun designed to support your child’s physical and mental growth! This action-packed class is a dynamic blend of ninja training and boot camp. Kids will develop strength, balance, flexibility, and confidence through exciting obstacles, interactive games, and fun challenges.

Campers will create dragon characters, choose unique abilities, and play through quests in a mystical jungle. We'll explore ancient ruins, fight monsters, protect the jungle from greedy humans, and make fantasy crafts while learning how to play a simplified version of D&D.
