Intermediate Fencing

Intermediate Fencing

Whether inspired by a swashbuckling blockbuster, or a dream of competing for gold at the Olympics, there is a place for everyone in the art of fencing. Classes will teach students the fundamentals of fencing as well as bring them up to a competitive level if they so desire. Bring a water bottle. Students must wear closed toe shoes and pants that cover their entire legs (such as sweatpants). Students are required to have their own equipment by the end of their second month in the class. Before attending their first class, students must sign up for an access membership under the club Chico Fencing Center through USA fencing. It is $34 and lasts until the end of July 2026.

In this class, students will build upon their foundation from the beginner class. They will start to learn more advanced techniques needed to start fencing in competitions. This is intended to be a complimentary class with the Tuesday 11-15 Fencing class. Instructor approval is required to join this class, and having your own gear is mandatory.
