Chico Creek Nature Center Parties

Calling all children AND adults! Looking for the perfect place for a party? The Nature Center has just the spot whether it's a birthday or another kind of celebration!

Our party package include 1.5 hours of guided activities, including:

  • A theme-based craft that participants can take home
  • A Meet Our Animals experience with our animal ambassadors
  • A staff-led walk through the Nature Center’s outdoor spaces
  • The celebrated person gets to pick out a Nature Center t-shirt
  • A reserved outdoor party area for food and festivities
  • Early arrival (30 minutes) for setup and decorations
  • Indoor space available in case of bad weather

Themes & Activities

1. Sssuper Snakes 

  • Paint your own wooden wiggly snake
  • Explore Bear’s Lair and Ewok Village
  • Meet a few of our snake ambassadors up close

2. Bird-day Bash

  • Make an orange-peel bird feeder
  • Go on a bird scavenger hunt using binoculars
  • Meet Edgar the Raven and other animal friends

3. Little Sprouts

  • Paint and plant your own ceramic flower pot
  • Tour the Alice Hecker Native Plant Garden and visit Ewok Village
  • Enjoy a Meet Our Animals experience with some of our gentler critters

4. Creepy Crawlies

  • Paint a wooden pet spider
  • Go on a mini bug hunt to discover what lives under logs and leaves
  • Meet some of the insects and arachnids in our Creepy Crawly Room

Party Flow

CARD staff led: 

  • Craft: about 25 minutes
  • Meet Our Animals: about 30 minutes & at least 3 animals
  • Nature Walk: about 20 minutes

Additional time: 

  • Celebration Time: the remainder of the time is yours to use as you wish! Food, cake, presents, etc. Staff will remain on site for assistance.
